These are the island landing pages that were part of the Living in the Moments campaign for Hawaii Visitors Convention Bureau that MVNP created.
I was in charge of taking the designers comps and preparing assets for the freelance programmer in the mainland to implement the parallax functionality. In the meantime, I had to input all the content and use css to style it to match the comps as much as possible. I used jQuery to create sliding image galleries that needed to work on mobile as well. I also had to embed the vimeo videos and social media icons that were difficult being that Facebook keeps updating the way you can share or like things. We were on a really tight deadline to get this launched by the end of the year since they wanted to launch January 1st. This was my first experience having to work with someone in a different time zone but we worked well together. We communicated well and we didn't step on each other’s toes. MVNP was off for from Christmas till the next year, but not me. My holiday break consisted of waking up early in the morning, and working till late at night to make sure we launched on time. We launched Oahu & Maui first. Then Kauai and Hawaii Island later on in the year.
